Foróige commissioned an animation for the Comhairle na nÓg showcase that takes part in Croke Park every second year. the brief was to make an eye-catching video for use at the showcase, and give each group a few seconds in the spotlight.
One of the key components of the animation was to highlight the important role these young people have in representing their peers at national and local decision-making levels. Each of the thirty-one Comhairlí were mentioned within the script, without the script reading like a shopping list of actions and counties. The groups themselves, and their achievements, were then visually represented in the animation.
“From the initial conversation stages of talking through the brief, to the storyboarding and artwork phases, it was a dream to collab with Daire. At every stage I knew what to expect and when, he kept us fully updated with timelines and due dates.
In particular, Daire’s project management of the copywriting and voiceover stages of the project were exemplary. This was a particularly huge piece of work that worked seamlessly through Daire and as a client, it was more about signing off on various states, as opposed to managing this element ourselves.”
